Krzysztof Krystowski
President of the Polish Cluster Association
Krzysztof Krystowski is President of the Polish Cluster Association, but also President of the Silesian Aviation Cluster. From 2019 he is one of the ten independent experts of the European Commission in the Cluster Group. In 2020 he was elected Vice President of the European Clusters Alliance and one of the five representatives (representation before the European Commission) of the European Aerospace Cluster Partnership. He was appointed President of the Management Board and Managing Director of PZL- Świdnik in January 2015, and from January 2016 he was Vice President of Finmeccanica Helicopter Division – these functions he held until the end of 2018. From 2012 to 2013, he was President of the Management Board of Bumar Group and later of Polski Holding Obronny. From 2006 to 2011, he worked as a manager at the Avio Group, a global aerospace company. He was also a member of the Main Council of the Polish Confederation of Private Employers Lewiatan and the National Ecological Council to the President of the Republic of Poland, as well as the Industry and Defence Council to the Minister of National Defence. From 2004 to 2006, he was Chairman of the Council of the Foundation “Innovation Centre” FIRE dealing with assistance to small and medium-sized innovative enterprises. From 2003 to 2006, he was Deputy Minister in the Ministry of Economy, Labour and Social Policy (later in the Ministry of Economy and Labour). At that time, he was responsible for the competitiveness and innovativeness of the economy, supervision of research and development units and the Patent Office of the Republic of Poland, as well as for the restructuring of the defence and aviation industry and offsetting.
