We are honoured to welcome you to the Central European Technology Forum - CETEF’22 in Wrocław.
In the aftermath of the pandemic and in the face of the ongoing war in Ukraine the need to continue a long-term initiative such as the Forum is very strong. The format of CETEF’22 will change into a hybrid model allowing for meetings on-site as well as participation on-line. We are very happy to be able to use, together with the Forum’s Partners, digital channels of communication, thus expanding the reach of our message by engaging a greater number of experts and participants. It is a great pleasure for us to co-operate with organisations representing not only experienced engineers but also PhD students and young scientists.
We are inviting you to actively participate in the debate on further development of technical branches critical to the effective digital transformation. In order to achieve this goal, Europe should make the best possible use of its strong research facilities, well-developed industries, fast-growing start-up sector and financial resources at our disposal.
At the beginning of July 2022, the European Commission adopted A New European Innovation Agenda to trigger a new wave of deep-tech innovation and start-ups. Our voice was consulted and heard in Brussels.
On October 24-25, 2022, Wrocław University of Science and Technology will hold a Round Table on Digital Transformation, combining A New European Innovation Agenda with the European digital transformation strategy. We believe the exchange of ideas and expertise will be fruitful.
We invite you to Wrocław!
Wrocław and Lower Silesia are often called Polish Silicon Valley. In fact, there is no coincidence in such a statement whatsoever.
It is here that various start-ups have been developing their business activities for many years and it is here that innovative projects and state-of-the-art technologies are created. The truth is that the business sector places trust in our region and our city as they are extremely attractive for this type of activity. From that perspective, it is even more encouraging to see that Wrocław will enjoy the privilege of organising the 3rd edition of the CENTRAL EUROPEAN TECHNOLOGY FORUM (CETEF).
From 24 to 25 October 2022, a group of managers and specialists will discuss and define new directions for further development in those branches of technology that substantially contribute to digitisation in industry and energy transition.
It must be highlighted that approximately 3,000 persons in total took part in CETEF in 2014 and 2018, which only proves the prestige and renown of this particular event. Within the context of the new challenges and the new geopolitical situation, there is an inevitable obligation to reclassify our needs. Therefore, I would like to wish the best possible experiences and impressions to all participants and panellists. See you at the Forum!
Jacek Sutryk, City Mayor of Wrocław
I will be delighted to participate in the Central European Technology Forum - CETEF’22. This Forum will enable to gather innovators from all over Central Europe and to facilitate cross-sectors business cooperation. This cooperation is more than ever needed, to develop new technologies to address the most pressing challenges and transitions, and to bring them on the market.
This is why we have designed a New European Innovation Agenda, presented on last July. This agenda aims to create a pan-European innovation ecosystem, and has been created in close cooperation with innovators, to have an impact for all stakeholders, at every corner of Europe! Building on Europeans’ entrepreneurial mindset, scientific excellence, the strength of the single market, this New Innovation Agenda will in particular: improve access to finance, accelerate and strengthen innovation in our European ecosystems, attract and retain deep tech talents in Europe and improve policymaking tools.
To make Europe become a global powerhouse of innovation, share ideas and experiences, be part of this New Innovation Agenda and join us at CETEF’22!
Mariya Gabriel, EU Commissioner for Innovation, Research, Culture, Education and Youth
