Piotr Dardziński

Piotr Dardziński is a graduate of the Faculty of Law and Administration of the Jagiellonian University and the University of Hamburg, a doctor of humanities and a long-standing lecturer at the Jagiellonian University in Krakow, as well as a scholarship holder of the University of Freiburg and a graduate of the prestigious management programme run by the IESE Business School in Barcelona. He is a manager with more than 20 years of experience. From 2015 to 2019, he was Undersecretary and then secretary of state at the Ministry of Science and Higher Education, responsible for cooperation between science and business. Piotr authored of the law on Implementation Doctorate Programme and coordinated the works on the new concept for operations of research institutes. As a member of the Innovation Team, he oversaw the inter-ministerial works on the first and second Innovation Law. The former was recognised by the organisation Employers of the Republic of Poland as the best deregulation law in the area of taxation. Both laws are considered a turning point in the removal of barriers to cooperation between scientists and entrepreneurs. He is also a former Director of the the Centre for the Thought of John Paul II and Vice President of the Tertio Millennio Institute.
