PROF. OLGA ŠTĚPÁNKOVÁ
Head of the Department of Biomedical Engineering and Assistive Technology of CIIRC
Prof. Olga Štěpánková graduated in logics from the Faculty of Mathematics and Physics Charles University. In 1998 she was awarded the title of full professor of technical cybernetics at the Czech Technical University in Prague. Since 2016 she is the head of the Department Biomedical Engineering and Assistive Technology of Czech Institute of Informatics, Robotics and Cybernetics (www.ciirc.cvut.cz). She is the chairperson of the Czech Society for Cybernetics and Informatics. She participated in a number of Czech and EU research projects – currently she is the local coordinator of the project DISTINCT Dementia: Intersectorial strategy for training and innovation network for current technology (https://www.dementiadistinct.com/) and the project CSI-COP: Citizen Scientists Investigating Cookies and App GDPR Compliance (https://csi-cop.eu/). Prof. Štěpánková’s research interests focus on data mining, artificial intelligence and their utilisation for interpretation of biomedical data and for development of assistive technologies.
