Prof. Vytautas Bučinskas received his master’s degree in automotive engineering from the Vilnius Civil Engineering Institute, then defended his PhD thesis in the theory of machines and became professor at the Department of Machine Engineering at the Vilnius Technical University, where he heads the Department of Mechatronics, Robotics and Digital Manufacturing. He is also a Fellow of the Lithuanian Engineering Industries Association (LINPRA) and Lithuanian Robotics Association. Currently he is involved with the H2020 ECSEL JU projects: 3Ccar and Autodrive, where autonomous vehicle problems are researched as well as problems of electric mobility. His current research interests include: design of mechatronic systems, dynamic properties of mechatronic systems, energy harvesting from vibrations. His interest in new technologies has fostered ideas patented in Lithuania, Europe, the US and Japan.
