THEMATIC CONFERENCES

25 october 2022

EMERGING BIOMEDICAL TECHNOLOGIES FOR DIAGNOSIS AND THERAPY

Biomedical technologies are relatively new and simultaneously one of the most extensive interdisciplinary fields of modern science and is characterised by an enormous potential for development. Combining the achievements of biological, biochemical and biophysical sciences with the achievements of the contemporary technology, including information technology, brings about extremely fascinating results of the research works conducted in this aspect: starting from production of antibodies, vaccines, tumour markers or new targeted drugs, precisely supplied by biological or chemical carriers to specific locations in the organism, through tissue engineering allowing for replacing, restoring, improving or sustaining functions of damaged tissues or organs by means of biological implants or cell transplants, and ending up with genetic engineering and gene therapies. The conference is dedicated to the evaluation of the state, trends, factors and implications regarding further development of the biomedical technology. The conference co-organisers include:  the Medical University of Łódź, Ardigen S.A., Małopolska Center of Technology Jagiellonian University and the Translational Medicine Centre of Warsaw University of Life Sciences.
